Manufacturing Copilot

Our Manufacturing Copilots are making manufacturing knowledge more accessible to help simplify manufacturing and unleash human creativity at every stage of the process, from design to finished product.

Simplifying manufacturing with Manufacturing Copilot

We are on a journey to make manufacturing more efficient and sustainable by supporting increased automation and digitalization on the shop floor. The Manufacturing Copilot enables a shift in the user experience with seamless access to knowledge, which has not been broadly accessible before, simplifying the user-experience.

Manufacturing Copilot features

The Manufacturing Copilot is available in most of our software. Each Copilot has been trained on proprietary knowledge, unique to each brand, and prompt optimized during 12 months. The Copilots are further trained on technical support continuously and will eventually connect with each other to bring even more intelligence to the shop floor.

  • Built for machinists to simplify programming for all skill levels.
  • Technical expertise available 24/7 in 19 languages.
  • Conversational help: ask questions in natural language and get step-by-step guidance.
  • Command agent: type or speak what you want to do, from finding toolpaths to launching controls and Copilot executes.
  • Available directly in the software and online, with modern UI and voice interaction.

Questions and answers

  • Where can I find the Manufacturing Copilot?

The Manufacturing Copilots are available since September 2024 to enable AI for our 400 000 users globally. You can find a Copilot in the latest versions of the leading solutions:

    • Cimatron for die and mold
    • GibbsCAM for advanced machining
    • SigmaNEST for sheet metal fabrication
    • Mastercam, the most widely used CAD/CAM software
    • Metrolog for 3D measurement

We are continuously integrating the Manufacturing Copilot gradually into more manufacturing software in the portfolio.

  • What can the Manufacturing Copilot provide?

With natural language queries, our AI is built for machinists to simplify programming for all skill levels.

    • Intelligent customer service support.
    • Democratizing expert knowledge for all.
    • Reducing the need for human resources, for example, repetitive tasks.
    • Enhance operational efficiencies.
  • What are the key features in Manufacturing Copilot?

The Manufacturing Copilot enables a shift in the user experience with seamless access to knowledge, which has not been broadly accessible before, simplifying the user-experience. Each Copilot has been trained on proprietary knowledge, unique to each brand, such as product knowledge base, and prompt optimized during 12 months. The Manufacturing Copilots are further trained on technical support continuously and will eventually connect with each other to bring even more intelligence to the shop floor.

    • Technical expertise available 24/7 in 19 languages.
    • Real-time updates and enables informed choices.
    • Conversational help: ask questions in natural language and get step-by-step guidance.
    • Command agent: type or speak what you want to do, from finding toolpaths to launching controls and Copilot executes.
    • Available directly in the software and online, with modern UI and voice interaction.

    This helps:

    • Decreasing the employee learning curve time and simplify onboarding as well for advanced users to reduce the barrier of the shortage of critical talent.
    • Decreasing repetitive tasks and time spent on programming a job to free up time for value adding tasks or more creativity.
  • What are the phases of development for Manufacturing Copilot?

    • Initially, generative AI assisted in component design by interpreting prompts to allow contextual queries and offer suggestions based on in-house product knowledge bases.
    • Now, you can also use voice and command line interface driven manufacturing and allow time for the employees to have more time for creativity and value creation.
    • Next, the Manufacturing Copilot will evolve into an intelligent user experience that cooperatively optimizes and verifies processes by intelligent integration with our products.
